These terms cover Dukat, an app that shows prices for gold and silver coins, bars and jewellery and keeps track of your holdings. They are deliberately short.

2. Using the app

You may use Dukat on your own devices for private purposes. The app is licensed, not sold; you may not resell it, rent it out or alter its code. The price data shown is meant for your personal use; automated extraction or commercial redistribution is not permitted.

3. Prices are guide values — not advice

The prices in Dukat are reference values. They are calculated from the pure precious metal in a piece, the current world market price and the premium that large dealers publicly charge in the respective country.

What a dealer actually pays or charges you may differ — depending on the day, the condition of the piece, its packaging, the quantity and the location. Always check the price of the dealer you are dealing with before buying or selling.

Dukat is not a dealer, not a broker and not a bank. We buy and sell nothing, broker no transactions and give neither investment nor tax advice. Decisions about buying, selling or storing are yours, if necessary with professional advice.

4. Availability

We do our best to keep prices current and correct, but cannot guarantee this without gaps: sources can fail, change or deliver wrong values. If data is stale or implausible, the app says so or leaves the value out. There is no claim to permanent availability.

5. Your holdings

What you enter under “My gold” stays on your device only. There is no account and no backup on our side. Back up your device yourself if the entries matter to you; if they are lost or the app is uninstalled, we cannot restore them.

6. What Dukat costs

The app is free. Dukat Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it does not renew and nothing is charged again. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency.

Dukat Pro unlocks the extra features named on the purchase screen. The price display itself stays free.

7. Payment, withdrawal and refunds

Payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Your contractual partner for the payment is therefore the respective store, not us. Refunds accordingly also go through Apple or Google.

For digital content the right of withdrawal ends as soon as performance begins immediately with your express consent – which is the case when Pro is unlocked.

8. Liability

For intent and gross negligence as well as for injury to life, body and health we are liable under statutory rules. Otherwise we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties and limited to foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract. We are not liable for financial losses from buying, selling or investment decisions you make on the basis of the guide values shown. Mandatory statutory rights, in particular consumer rights, remain unaffected.

9. Apple and Google

For use via the App Store, Apple’s standard licence agreement also applies (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app; Apple and Google may, however, enforce this agreement against you. Please direct questions about the app to us.

10. Changes and applicable law

We may change these terms where objectively necessary; the current version is always on this page. Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU, the mandatory protective provisions of your country of residence remain in place.
